Welcome to Health Hand

Health Hand is a grassroots initiative born from the heart’s need and the strength of community. We are creating a space for mutual support – a place for people from diverse backgrounds, with various passions, united by one thing: deep empathy and a strong sense of responsibility for those who need support.

We envision a world in which caregivers of people with dementia are not left alone with their challenges. A world where their effort, fatigue, and sacrifices are not only acknowledged but also systematically supported.

We want to build a place where caregivers can develop their skills, strengthen their well-being, and feel that they have the right to rest and personal space. We believe that caring for caregivers means caring for entire families, relationships, and the quality of life for those who are ill.

Our goal is for Health Hand to be a safe haven, a supportive community, and real help in everyday difficulties – created by people who understand that together we can do more.

Currently, we offer online support to stay close to caregivers despite limitations, while actively working on securing a physical space that will allow us to expand and offer even more workshops and in-person activities.

We invite you today to follow the people we recommend on their social media – their knowledge and hearts help bring peace and balance.

Health Hand – because the well-being of caregivers matters most.

Agnieszka Troć

Hi! My name is Agnieszka Troć. Drawing and painting have always been part of my life, although I used to do something entirely different – I was an architect. Over time, I felt it wasn’t quite my path. I missed art, the freedom of creating, and the joy of painting. In a difficult period of my life, when I struggled with depression, painting helped me find light and regain balance. Art gave me strength to move forward.

Dorota Chioma

Dorota Chioma, a self-taught artist and poet/writer based in London.

After years of self-suppression, which was sabotaging her wellbeing, she rediscovered her creativity through art therapy followed by an independent artistic journey.

Art became her medicine without which she wouldn’t be able to cope with mental health challenges.

Visual images are often accompanied by words. Both visual art and the art of words help to process life and its events but more importantly they allow to tame demons and deal with trauma.

Her artwork explores the varying states concerning the mind and mental health. Engaging in these diverse subjects leads her to a reflection, and in turn to a visual representation. Poetry and writing enables to enhance and further process any themes she is working on.

Wiesława Pokorska

Working as a caregiver for the elderly, I learned how to support them in daily life. It brought me joy and satisfaction. This encouraged me to volunteer at a care home, even though at first, I knew little about its residents.

That’s where I first encountered dementia. I was initially surprised and confused, but over time I felt a deep bond with the residents. I understood how important my presence was and how much they needed help communicating. I realized I didn’t just want to support the ill – I also wanted to support their caregivers.
